Project Abhalmaya Old Age Home Infrastructure Development The project is all about providing basic needs in the areas of infrastructure and basic entertainment in elderly people deprived from near ones and society by giving adar or respect. “Abhalmaya” Old Age Home referred as AOAH here on, is ideated, founded, and run by Dr Aparna Deshmukh, MBBS/MS. It is located at Sinhagad Road, Pune, taking utmost care of approximately 75 elderly citizens. Dr Aparna Deshmukh and Mr Rahul Phatak, who run the operations of AOAH, assisted in providing detailed operations run at AOAH. Post visit, all Rtn members of RCBP were stunned by the dedication of Dr Aparna and Mr Rahul to handle one of the most difficult social issues of our society. Dr Aparna and Mr Rahul presented many requirements which if fulfilled can help make running the operations of AOAH smoother. This gave birth to this Project where basic infrastructure needs to help taking care and entertainment for elderly people was satisfied. The project was executed to satisfy following needs: 1. Fitting of Safety doors on Staircase at each floor 2. Awning Shade at place near main door and besides apartment building 3. Food serving trolley. 4. Repair work for 2 Washing machines 5. Construction and Plantation to grow vegetables. 6. Medicine supply 7. Permanent Vegetable Monthly expenses 8. Water Purifier 9. Addition of Electrical Points 10. Glowing Friction Stickers on stairs 11. Television Set for common area where elderly sit and relax in second half of the day. 12. Showcase to accommodate Television and awards received by AOAH.
