About Club

Rotary Club of Bibwewadi Pune was installed on March 15, 2015.

All the members of the Club were first time rotarians.

Club has 2 signature projects - Project Garmahat (unique winter jacket distribution project where 100% members participate every year and beneficiaries receive the jackets as appreciation gesture instead of as a donation) and Project Asmita (Daughter Empowerment project focussing on 6 focus areas including Menstrual hygiene, gynecological guidance, legal rights awareness, career guidance, spoken English guidance etc.

Some of the unique features of our club are:

  • Young, dynamic and diverse club
  • Average age of members is below 40 years
  • 100% vegetarian and teetotaller club
  • All meetings are family meetings with dinner
  • Celebrations of various festivals, picnics, outdoor activities are part of the Club's established culture
  • Active participation of spouses and kids in all projects
  • First club to begin rotary activity even before becoming an official Rotary Club
